2017 Missouri District Couple of the Year

Chuck & Trish’s Story
THANK YOU! These two little words will never be able to express how thankful we are that we belong to one of the greatest organizations in the nation and can be part of the GWRRA family. The knowledge that we have gained since becoming members in 2011, has helped to become safer riders. The friends we have made along the way has allowed us to have more fun.
Chuck is employed in maintenance with Gates Rubber Company in Versailles for 20 years. He has been on two wheels since he was a kid. Over the span of his riding age, Chuck has owned 15 street bikes and numerous dirt bikes and four wheelers, and even did a stint in four wheeler racing – in his younger days. Goldwing ownership has spanned a 1984 GL1200, 1989 GL1500, 2003 GL1800 and currently a 2014 GL1800.
Trish has been employed by the State of Missouri in Jefferson City for 15 years. She has been riding since 2009 and has owned 2 street bikes – a Honda Rebel 250 and a Kawasaki Vulcan 500 and still has a Yamaha 125 dirt bike.
We both love seeing the country from the seat of our motorcycle. Before joining GWRRA we traveled very little and rarely met new people outside of our small town. Since 2011, we have managed to have our bike in 25 states and have made countless new friends. Our bucket list includes all 48 contiguous states and to make new friends in each new state we visit.
Beginning as our chapters Rider Educators and moving into Chapter Asst Directors and currently Chapter Directors, we feel we have made the progression at a pace that has allowed us to be the best that we can be, and excite our fellow members. B2 is a small chapter with a big heart; we are honored to be part of this family that has allowed us to represent them.
As well, we are honored to have been chosen as the 2017 District Couple of the Year and are grateful for the experience and the opportunity to now represent the Missouri District. There is still a lot to learn, but are confident that we are up to the challenge. We feel the support and encouragement from everyone that we come into contact with and want to pass this along to others. We are proud to be members of the GWRRA family.
Be Wise, Be Safe, and Have Fun!

We are proud to be part of the GWRRA family. We have PARTICIPATED in a lot of the District and Chapter events throughout the years. The knowledge that we have learned has assisted us in being able to ride safe individually as well as in group events. We are honored to be Chapter Couple of the Year 2015. We feel that we complement one another as Burnis is the people person and Sheryl is the organizer.
We feel that GWRRA has offered us the opportunity to have FRIENDS FOR FUN – meeting all the wonderful members from all over the world. The GWRRA Rider Education Program has assisted us in riding in a SAFE manner. We appreciate the chance to PARTICIPATE in GWRRA Leadership training seminars to give us more KNOWLEDGE.
As Directors, we try to always have a positive and enthusiastic attitude during all GWRRA events. We like to have FUN in our Chapter Gathering and events.
Since we have been Chapter B Couple of the Year we want to share that positive attitude and share the experience with others in our organization. We feel honored to be nominated as Couple of the Year. We have the desire to grow with the experience. We want to share our ideas and look forward to experiencing another piece of the puzzle as we became 2016 District Couple of the Year.
